FAQ
Below are some commonly asked questions about ordering, my process, cost, etc. If you don’t see the answer to your question, please contact me. Happy to help!
What kinds of products do you offer?
Past orders have included plaques, engraved wooden items like trinket boxes, and beer & wine glasses. I am currently not set up to etch onto metal. That said, if you have a project in mind, please contact me to discuss it with you.
How do I know how much my project will cost? I don't see a price list on your website.
Because everything I do is custom work, I’ll need to quote your project based on the specifications you provide.
Is this just cheap stuff from China?
No, but I appreciate you asking as there is a lot of that sort of thing all over the internet. As a full-time Quality Control Manager, I not only appreciate quality but uphold it in everything I do. I handmake your order in my shop in northwest Ohio using materials I buy here in the United States.
How long will my order take?
Great question. Because each order is different and is custom-made, there are many factors that determine the amount of time it will take to fulfill your order. This is why my “Request A Quote” form is so extensive. If you have a deadline you’re trying to meet, that will need to be included in your quote request. Once submitted, I will reach out to you to discuss your order with you to determine any additional information needed and to discuss your preferred in-hand date.
I've never ordered a plaque before. Where do I begin?
You’ll want to start by completing the Request A Quote form which will provide me with most of what I’ll need to understand your project and to provide you with a quote. If you’re unsure, feel free to email me so that we can discuss it in detail.
Do I need to provide artwork? What if I don't have any?
No, you do not need to provide artwork unless it includes a logo. Typically, if you don’t have high-quality vector logo art, I can work with a .jpg or .png to convert it to a vector file. From there, I’ll come up with a design using your specifications.
What file type(s) do you need for my logo?
An .ai file works best however, an .eps or .pdf may work—I would need to inspect your art file to be 100% sure.
